I used to write a lot, even taught writing at Colorado State University and collaborated on a book with illustrator Charlotte Whatley that we published in 1991. About fifteen years ago, though, my writing stopped almost entirely to make room for my music vocation—teaching music and gigging three times a week.

But suddenly here I am in Philomath, Oregon, with enough time on my hands that I am rediscovering the "write" side of me. As of the creation of this web site for my new teaching venture in a new location—the Willamette Valley—I also started blogging, one for music (Blooz Thunder), one for my maundering thoughts (Annotated Margins).
