I teach guitar, banjo, ukulele, and mandolin in my studio. I charge $100 a month for a personal, weekly time slot, which equals:
  • 1 lesson per week; each lesson is 45 minutes long. (It's cool if a student hangs around longer to jam with the lesson after him/her.)
  • Lessons work out to 4 a month (unless your day gets 5 lessons in 5-week month).

I also teach group lessons, so family and friends can take lessons together. Just add $20 per person to the flat monthly fee.

Lessons are on-going -- forever and ever really -- so I like to have my students hang around with me for no fewer than six months. Some of my students have been with me for more than three years and won't go away no matter what I do!

If you're interested in lessons, check the "Lesson Grid" link to see a matrix of the time slots I have available. If something looks like it will work, let's set it up. You can even start this week.

Payment is due the first lesson of the month, which ensures you a personal time-slot. Unless the lesson fee is paid, I won't ensure an open spot. I don't accept partial payments because the flat fee is not set on a "per lesson" basis. The lesson fee ensures that you have a personal, weekly time-slot. I charge a flat fee because it allows for some flexibility. If you or I miss a lesson, eventually everything washes out evenly because several times a year each lesson slot occurs five times in a month instead of four.
